QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 39,700.00 - 52,960.00 (CPSB 09)
House Allowance: Ksh. 12,800 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 5,000 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements for Appointment: -
i. Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Psychology, Sociology, Psychology and Counseling or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Ability to keep confidentiality of client’s information;
iii. Ability to empathize with clients;
iv. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
v. Membership to a relevant Professional body.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Make recommendations for review of policies pertaining to counseling of staff;
ii. Assess employees through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine the appropriate testing, examination and recommendation for appropriate treatment;
iii. Create effective treatment plans that include counseling, medication, or other services;
iv. Work with the client and develop goals;
v. Diagnose and treat various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
vi. Discuss the treatment plan with the employees on a regular basis to identify faults or room for improvement;
vii. Educate employees about appropriate coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations; and
viii. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
