QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 44,400.00 - 61,110.00 (CPSB 08)
House Allowance: Ksh. 22,000.00 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 6,000.00 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements for Appointment: -
i. Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Psychology, Psychology and Counseling and Sociology or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Must have at least three (3) years relevant working experience;
iii. Ability to keep confidentiality of clients’ information;
iv. Ability to empathize with clients;
v. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
vi. Membership to a relevant professional body.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Develop and implement policies pertaining to counseling of staff;
ii. Plan and coordinate counseling programs;
iii. Conduct both individual and group counseling;
iv. Promote ethics in the county public service;
v. Keep appropriate records;
vi. Diagnose and treat various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
vii. Identify employees with social psychological or health related problems;
viii. Facilitate seminars and workshops on guidance and counselling matters;
ix. Submit monthly reports on the activities undertaken; and
x. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
